“Giannis Mantakas Choir” AUTh event for the 200 years since the 1821 Greek Revolution

On March 24, 2021, at 13:00, the festive event of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki for the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution was streamed online, with the participation of the Rector of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Nikolaos Papaioannou, the President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou and Professor Evangelos Venizelos. Choir “Giannis Mantakas” participated in the opening and closing of the ceremony under the direction of Erifili Damianou. The first piece was with the Akathistos Hymn in harmonization for a mixed choir by Christos Samaras and the second piece is the National Anthem of Greece.
