Festival “Days of Greek Music Creation”

After the very successful first edition of the Festival “Days of Greek Music Creation”, which was held last year between May 22nd and May 20th, the second edition of the Festival is scheduled to take place between May 21st and June 5th, 2024.

The Festival is under the auspices of the Department of Music Studies of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and will include concerts, workshops and a scientific conference related to different periods of the history of Greek music and its various styles. Through its various activities, the Festival has already become a beacon of culture, illuminating old forgotten and new, still unknown aspects of music creation, uniting artists and scientists from different countries, generations and orientations, and offering for the specialist and for the wider philosopher audience the unique beauty of Greek music in a timeless horizon.)

Participants:
Music ensembles ΗΝΟRO, Bremer Percussion Quartet, Orfean Harmony, Thessalonian Hymnodists, Ensembles of Experimental & Improvised Music of the Department of Music Studies AUTH, Motetii, Psaltira, Chrysorrhemon, St. Anysia, Christos Tsiamoulis, Theodora Iordanidou, folk musician from PAMAK, composition classes from the Department of Music Studies AUTH and the Department of Music Science & Art)
