Presentation of two new CDs by Phasma Music with works by Greek composers

Two new record productions (with catalog numbers 0043 and 0044) of Phasma Music include, among others, works written by teachers and graduates of the School of Music Studies: K. Nikitas, Chr. Samaras, C. Tsougras, G. Sakallieros, D. Maronidis, V. Kitsos, D. Oikonomou, G. Koutoula, Or. Papaioannou, while the graduate of the Department Fani Karagianni participates as a piano performer.

Costas Tsougras: Monograms (Solo and Ensemble Works) – [Phasma 0043]
The album includes seven works ―solo or chamber music― by Costas Tsougras, with the participation of the following ensembles / musicians: New Hellenic Quartet, Emilios Riadis Quartet, dissonArt Ensemble, Kostas Raptis, Fani Karagianni, Odysseas Karydis

Fani Karagianni: Contemporary Greek Music for Solo Piano – [Phasma 0044]
The album includes the performances of Fani Karagianni in 18 works for solo piano by 13 Greek composers of the 20th and 21st century: Nikos Skalkottas, Yannis A. Papaioannou, Argyris Kounadis, Kostas Nikitas, Christos Samaras, Costas Tsougras, George Sakallieros, Vassilis Kitsos, Dimitris Maronidis, Dimitris Oikonomou, Stella Dalampira, Glykeria Koutoula, Orestis Papaioannou.

The presentation / concert will take place in the concert hall “Melina Merkouri” of the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 20:00.

The presentation includes talks by:
Costas Tsougras, composer / musicologist, associate professor at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and professor of theory and composition at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki,
Fani Karagianni, pianist, piano teacher at the F. Nakas Conservatory, graduate of the AUTh,
Georgios-Ioulios Papadopoulos, pianist / musicologist, director of the State Conservatory,
George Sakallieros, composer / musicologist, associate professor at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki,
Petros Vouvaris, pianist / musicologist, associate professor at the University of Macedonia.

Also, selected works of the two CDs will be performed by:
Kostas Raptis (assistant professor of the University of Macedonia): concert accordion,
Fani Karagianni: piano.
